Ingredients
- 50 mL (1/4 cup) margarine or butter
- 250 g (1 pkg) (about 40) regular marshmallows or 5 cups miniature
- 2 mL (1/2 tsp) vanilla extract (optional)
- 1.5 L (6 cups) Rice Krispies* cereal
Directions
- n a large microwave safe bowl, heat margarine and marshmallows at HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes.
- Stir in vanilla. Stir in Kellogg's* Rice Krispies* cereal until well coated. Using lightly buttered spatula, press into buttered 3.5 L (13 x 9") pan.
- Allow mixture to cool slightly. Cut into bars. Best if served same day.

Tips
Mess and Clean-Up
- You can line your baking pan with parchment paper or waxed paper to cut down on mess.
- Grease your spatula or spoon before combining the melted ingredients with the Rice Kripies cereal.
- When pressing down the treats, to avoid sticky fingers. Try wetting your hands, using the butter stick wrapper or waxed paper.
Recipe Hacks
- For chewier bars, use an extra cup of miniature marshmallows or about 8 regular marshmallows.
- The (optional) vanilla extract enances the taste of the treats.
- Use a smaller pan to make thicker treats.
- Add candies or frosting for easy decorations.
