Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup

    margarine or butter

  • 250 g (1 pkg)

    (about 40) regular marshmallows or 5 cups miniature 

  • ½ tsp

    vanilla extract (optional)

  • 6 cups

    Rice Krispies® Spring edition cereal

  • -

    Mini chocolate eggs

Directions

Microwave Method:

  1. In a large microwave safe bowl, heat margarine/butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring halfway until melted and smooth.
  2. Stir in the vanilla and add the Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until well coated. Allow the mixture to cool just enough to handle.
  3. Using damp or lightly greased hands, grab approximately ¼ to ⅓ cup of the cereal mixture and form into small nests. You may need to reform the nests as the mixture cools until it holds its shape.
  4. Fill the nests with candy eggs or other festive candies before serving.

Stovetop Method:

  1. Melt margarine or butter in a large saucepan over med-low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  2. Follow steps 2 to 4 above.
