Ingredients

  • ¼ cup

    margarine or butter

  • 1 package (10 oz., About 40)

    marshmallows OR 5 ½ cups mini-marshmallows

  • ½ tsp

    vanilla extract (optional)

  • 6 cups

    Rice Krispies® cereal

  • -

    Coloured frosting (Orange, Green, Purple, etc.)

    Assorted candy eyes

  • -

    Coloured sprinkles

Directions

  1. In a large microwave safe bowl, heat margarine/butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 90 seconds, stirring halfway until melted and smooth. Heat for additional 60 seconds intervals as needed.
  2. Stir in the vanilla and add the Rice KrispiesⓇ cereal and stir until well coated. Using a lightly buttered spatula, press into a buttered 3.5 L (13 x 9") pan. Press down firmly to pack the mixture into the pan and once cool, cut into bars.
  3. Cover ½ to ⅔ of each bar with coloured frosting and decorate with candy eyes, sprinkles, and themed candy to create your very own spooky monster treat.
