Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup

    margarine or butter

  • 250 g (1 pkg) (about 40)

    regular marshmallows or 5 cups miniature 

  • ½ tsp

    vanilla extract (optional)

  • 6 cups

    Rice Krispies® cereal

  • -

    Coloured icing for decoration

Directions

  1. In a large microwave safe bowl, heat margarine or butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring halfway until melted and smooth.
  2. Add the Rice Krispies cereal and stir until well coated. Using a lightly buttered spatula, press firmly into a buttered 3.5 L (13 x 9") pan. Press down firmly to pack the mixture into the pan and set aside to cool.
  3. Once cool, use a round cookie cutter to cut the Rice Krispies into circles.
  4. For soccer balls and baseballs: spread a smooth, even layer of white icing over each circle and use black or red icing in a piping bag with a fine round tip for the stitching. 

          For basketballs: Spread a smooth even layer of orange icing over the circles and use black icing in a piping bag with a fine round tip for the stitching.
