Ingredients
- 50 ml or 1/4 cup
vegan plant-based butter or margarine
- 283 g (1 package)
Vegan marshmallows
- 2 ml or 1/2 tsp
vanilla extract (optional)
- 1.125 L or 4 1/2 cups
Directions
1. Lightly grease a 9x9” pan. Line with parchment paper for easy removal. Set aside.
2. Add the plant-based butter or margarine to a large saucepan over medium low heat, once melted, add the marshmallows and stir continuously until they have melted into a smooth mixture.
3. Stir in the vanilla extract and add the Rice Krispies® cereal. Stir until the cereal is well coated and empty the saucepan into the prepared pan. Press into the pan using a lightly greased spatula. Allow them to cool for 10-12 minutes before cutting into squares.
Recipe Notes
Marshmallows won’t melt evenly unless you stir continuously while cooking.
