SERVINGS

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup

    margarine or butter

  • 4 cups

    miniature marshmallows

  • ½ tsp

    vanilla extract (optional)

  • 6 cups

    Rice Krispies® Cereal

  • -

round pink and blue (optional) candies

  • -

    candy eyes

  • -

Melted white chocolate or white and pink icing for decorating

Directions

  1. In a large microwave safe bowl, heat margarine/ butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring halfway until melted and smooth.
  2. Add the Rice Krispies® cereal and stir until well coated. Using a lightly buttered spatula, press into a buttered 3.5 L (13 x 9") pan. Press down firmly to pack the mixture into the pan and once cool, cut into bars. Firmly insert a candy stick into each one of the bars and set aside.
  3. Place the melted white chocolate or white icing in a piping bag with a flat or petal tip. Place a small dot of icing or chocolate onto the back of one of the round milk chocolate candies and centre on the bottom third of each bar as the nose. Use icing to secure the candy eyes above the nose.
  4. Pipe white chocolate or white icing above the eyes to resemble bunny ears and then use pink icing in a piping bag with a smaller tip for the center of each ear.

Recipe Tips:

Squeezing the piping bag a little harder near the top of the ears and loosening your grip as you move towards the eyes helps create a tapered look which will more closely resemble bunny ears.

If required, you can smooth and shape the icing after its piped into the correct shape using the tip of a damp toothpick or cake tester.
